SIP trunk between Cisco and Avaya
Hi everyone,
I'm struggling to make this work, but I hope you guys can help me find out what i'm missing
1st i'm not a TOIP expert, but I know the basics.
I need to configure a SIP trunk link between 2 sites, 1st site ( CISCO :which I can configure) can call the other site, but the they can't call us here
What I did : Tried to configure the SIP trunk in the CUCM : We can call, they can't reach our extensions
moved the SIP trunk to the Voice Gateway: Same thing, I have created a dial-peer pointing to their extensions , used their Call manager as the session target, created a route pattern where the VG is the gateway: same result, we can call, they can't.
I think I should add another dial peer for the incoming calls how can I proceed ?
PS : in total there are 5 sites (cisco): no issues with those, the only issue is with Avaya Site, and the Avaya site can call all the other sites except our site
Thanks in advance for your time and help :)

SIP trunk between Avaya IP Office 500 and Cisco Call Manager - Caller ID issue
Hey guys, just set up a SIP trunk between Avaya and Cisco. Everything working great except for one thing: called party name display on the calling party's phone when calling the Avaya phones from the Cisco phones.
To be clear, when an Avaya user calls a Cisco user both phones show the name of the called party and the calling party, respectively. When a Cisco user calls an Avaya user, only the name of the calling party is shown on the Avaya. The cisco phone just shows the 6-digit extension that was dialed.
I have narrowed this down I'm pretty sure to an issue where the Cisco call manager is sending PAI (P asserted ID) information across the SIP trunk and the Avaya system is not.
Do you guys have any idea how to get the IP Office 500 to send PAI info over the SIP trunk for incoming calls?
I posted a help topic on the Avaya forums as well with a bit more info (SIP traces): https://support.avaya.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3672
Thanks!
